Quick Chocolate Cake
|Shortening||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Cocoa||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Flour||2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)|
|Milk||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Mix all ingredients together blending well.
Then add 1 cup boiling water in which 2 level teaspoonfuls baking soda have been dissolved.
Spread into layer pans or 1 oblong pan that has been greased and floured.
Bake 30-35 minutes at 350°.
Frost while warm with chocolate butter icing.
