Apple Butter Cake

Ingredients
  Vegetable shortening 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Eggs 3
  Apple butter 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Cake flour 2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)
  Baking powder 3 Teaspoon
  Baking soda 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Cinnamon 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Nutmeg 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Sour milk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Apple butter 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Directions

Cream together vegetable shortening and sugar.
Beat in eggs, one at a time; beat until fluffy.
Stir in the 1 cup apple butter.
Sift together flour, baking powder, soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture alternately with sour milk.
Pour into 2 greased and lightly floured 9x1 1/2 inch round layer pans.
Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.
Cool.
Spread bottom layer with 1/4 cup of the remaining apple butter.
Top with 1 cup Fluffy Frosting, spread to cdver apple butter.
Cover with top cake layer.
Frost sides and top of cake with remaining frosting.
Swirl remaining 1/4 cup apple butter on frosted top to give a marbled effect.
Garnish cake with apple slices, if desired.
