For all those who love the tangy lemon feel, this Lemon Sponge recipe will be a favorite! Yes, flavored with lemon peel and juice this Lemon Sponge is the ultimate lemon flavored dessert one can try. Very easy and simple too!
Ingredients
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Flour 3 Tablespoon
  Salt To Taste (Few Grains)
  Egg yolks 2 , slightly beaten
  Grated lemon peel 2 Teaspoon
  Lemon juice 2 Tablespoon
  Butter 1 Tablespoon, melted
  Milk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Egg whites 2
Directions

Combine the sugar, flour, and salt in a bowl; add a mixture of the beaten egg yolks, lemon peel and juice, and melted butter; mix well.
Stir in the milk.
Beat egg whites until stiff, not dry, peaks are formed.
Fold into first mixture.
Pour into 6 custard cups.
Bake in a pan with hot water in a 350°F oven about 35 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
