Molasses Marble Cake

Ingredients
  Sifted cake flour 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Vanilla 1 Teaspoon
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Eggs 2
  Double acting baking powder 2 Teaspoon
  Milk 2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)
  Unsulphured molasses 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Margarine 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Ground cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Ground cloves 1⁄4 Teaspoon
Directions

Preheat oven to 350°F.
Sift together flour, salt and baking powder.
Cream together margarine, sugar and vanilla.
Beat in eggs.
Add milk alternately with flour mixture.
Beat 1/2 minute.
Place 1/3 of batter in small bowl, stir in molasses and spices.
Pour light and dark batters alternately into a well greased, lightly floured 8 inch tube pan or into a 9 x 9 x 2 inch pan.
Gently run a spatula through batter to "marble." Bake tube cake 1 hour; bake 9x9x2 inch pan 45 minutes.
Makes twelve servings.
