Vanilla Pound Cake

This basic Pound Cake is a great treat to liven up any occasion. Pretty much good to go with tea or coffee, this Pound Cake is way easy to make.
Ingredients
  Butter 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Sugar 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Eggs 5
  Sifted cake flour 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Salt 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Vanilla 1 Teaspoon
Directions

Cream butter and sugar together.
Add eggs one at a time; beat well after each addition.
Add sifted dry ingredients.
Add vanilla; beat thoroughly.
Bake in greased loaf pan in 350°F oven 1 to 11/4 hours or until cake tests done.
Cool in pan on wire rack 10 minutes.
Turn out onto rack; cool completely
