Orange Cake How to make Orange Cake with Orange Glaze

In this episode i want to show you how to make orange cake.

Ingredients

Fresh orange juice 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
All purpose flour 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs)
Egg 3
Sugar 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs)
Vanilla essence 1 Teaspoon
Baking powder 1/2 Teaspoon
Orange 1 , peeled
Milk 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Orange zest 1/2 Teaspoon
Oil 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Salt 1 Pinch

Directions

GETTING READY

1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C.

2. Grease a cake pan and set aside.

MAKING

3. In a bowl, add the sugar into the eggs.Then add baking powder and salt.Next add orange zest and mix it with a spoon.

4. Add the all purpose flour and mix it with a spoon.Then add the milk followed by vanilla essence mix well. Next add the vegetable oil and blend it with a whisk or hand blender for 30 second.

5. Now add the orange juice and again mix it for 1 minute. Add the orange food color and mix it again.Now add the fresh orange pieces into the cake batter and mix it with a spoon.

6. Pour the cake batter into the prepared cake pan and tap it so that the extra air bubbles will come up.

7. Put it into the pre heated oven for 40 minutes. Meanwhile make the orange glaze, add half cup orange juice in to a pan followed by 1/2 cup sugar. Next add 1/2 teaspoon of orange food color. Keep stiring it and boil it for 5 minutes over medium heat. Once the orange glaze is done, let it cool.

FINALIZING

8. Cut the top portion of the cake using a knife. Now put some cool whipped cream on the top and spread it evenly. Next pour the orange glaze onto the top. Now put fresh orange pieces in the middle of the cake and our orange cake is done.

SERVING

9. Now sprinkle little amount of orange zest on top and serve.
