Cabbage With Capers

Ingredients
  Chopped onion 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm)
  Whole clove 1
  Bacon drippings 2 Tablespoon
  Chopped cooked ham 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Capers 2 Tablespoon
  Diced tomatoes 1 Cup (16 tbs) (Fresh Ones)
  Shredded cabbage 6 Cup (96 tbs)
  Freshly ground black pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Salt 3⁄4 Teaspoon
  Stock/Water 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Soft bread crumbs 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Directions

Saute the onion, garlic and clove in hot bacon drippings until the onion is limp and transparent.
Add the ham, capers, vinegar, tomatoes, cabbage, pepper, salt and stock or water.
Mix well.
Sprinkle with the bread crumbs.
Cover and cook until the cabbage is tender, about ten minutes.
