Sweet & Sour Red Cabbage
|Red cabbage||1 1⁄2 Pound, shredded|
|Tart apple||1 Medium|
|Red wine vinegar||5 Tablespoon|
Place cabbage in a 3 quart casserole.
Peel, core, and dice apple.
Add to cabbage along with butter and vinegar.
Cover with a lid or plastic wrap.
Microwave on HIGH (100%) for 18 to 22 minutes (stirring every 6 minutes) or until cabbage and apple are tender.
Remove dish from oven using pot holders.
Sprinkle with salt and sugar; toss to coat.
Microwave, covered, on HIGH (100%) for 5 minutes.
Let stand, covered, for 5 minutes before serving.
