Sweet And Sour Red Cabbage

Ingredients
  Red cabbage head 1 Small
  Tart apples 2 , cored and sliced
  Water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Unsalted butter 2 Tablespoon
  Cider vinegar 2 Tablespoon
  Honey 1 Tablespoon
  Caraway seeds 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Cornstarch 1 Tablespoon
  Cold water 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
Directions

Wash cabbage, chop coarsely, and discard core.
In a large saucepan, combine cabbage, water, pepper, and butter.
Cook, covered, until cabbage is tender-crisp (about 10 minutes).
Add apples and cook 3 to 5 minutes, or until they are soft.
Add vinegar, honey, and caraway seeds and stir.
Dissolve cornstarch in cold water and stir into cabbage apple mixture.
Simmer over low heat until sauce bubbles and thickens (about 1 minute).
Note: Green cabbage can be substituted for red.
