Braised Red Cabbage
|Butter||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Shredded red cabbage||8 Cup (128 tbs)|
|Raisins||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Packed brown sugar||3 Tablespoon|
|Cider vinegar||3 Tablespoon|
|Caraway seeds||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
In large heavy saucepan, melt butter over medium heat; cook onion and apple until softened, about 5 minutes.
Add cabbage and toss to combine.
Cover and cook for 5 minutes.
Stir in raisins, sugar, vinegar, salt, caraway seeds and pepper.
Cover and cook until cabbage is tender but not mushy, 10 to 12 minutes.
