Pennsylvania Red Cabbage

|Bacon drippings||2 Tablespoon|
|Red cabbage||4 Cup (64 tbs), shredded|
|Apples||2 Cup (32 tbs), chopped|
|Vinegar sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Salt||1 1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Caraway seed||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
1) In a saucepan, add bacon drippings and heat.
2) Add in the cabbage, apples, vinegar, brown sugar, 1/4 cup water, salt, caraway seed, and pepper.
3) Place a lid over and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes. Stir occasionally.
4) Serve hot.
