Savoy Cabbage Polonaise

|Soft bread crumbs||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Shred cabbage medium fine.
Cook in 1/2 inch of boiling water with sugar and salt in a covered saucepan for 6 to 8 minutes.
Drain and turn into 1-quart baking dish.
Melt butter, add bread crumbs, and mix well.
Sprinkle on cabbage.
Bake in preheated moderate oven (350°F.) for 20 minutes, or until crumbs are brown.
Makes 6 servings.
