Red Cabbage

Ingredients
  Red cabbage 1 Medium, finely shredded
  Cooking apples 1 Pound, peeled, cored and sliced (1/2 Kilogram)
  Water 1⁄4 Pint (125 Milliliter)
  Sugar 3 Tablespoon
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Cloves 4
  Vinegar 5 Tablespoon
  Butter 2 Ounce (50 Gram)
  Redcurrant jelly 1 Tablespoon
Directions

MAKING
1) In a saucepan add water, sugar, salt and cloves and add cabbage and apples.
2) Cook covered in simmering heat for 45 minutes.
3) Discard cloves and stir vinegar, butter and redcurrant jelly.

SERVING
4) Serve hot.

TIPS
Put in a tight container and use within two months. Thaw and Thaw at room temperature for 5 to 6 hours. Reheat in a saucepan in simmering heat.
