Sweet And Sour Red Cabbage With Apple
|Diced salt pork||3 Tablespoon|
|Onions||2 , thinly sliced|
|Red cabbage||2 Pound, finely shredded (900 Gram)|
|Hard cider/Apple wine||125 Milliliter (1/2 Cup)|
|Brown sugar||1 Tablespoon|
|Tart apples||3 , peeled, cored and sliced|
Saute the salt pork in a large casserole until the fat runs.
Add the onions and fry, stirring, until they are soft.
Add the cabbage, cider, salt, pepper and sugar.
Stir well, cover the pan and simmer for 1 hour.
Stir in the apples and cook for another hour.
