Red Cabbage With Apples

Ingredients
  Red cabbage head 1 Small, shredded
  Apples 3 , pared, cored and thinly sliced
  Salad oil/Melted butter/margarine 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Apple juice 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Red wine vinegar 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Water 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Sugar 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Thyme leaves 1⁄4 Teaspoon, crushed
  Pepper 1 Dash
Directions

Combine ingredients; mix well.
Turn into heavy 2- quart casserole or pot with heatproof handles.
Cover casserole.
Place on cooking grill; cover kettle and cook about 1 hour or until tender.
Stir 2 or 3 times during cooking.
