Cabbage, New Style

Ingredients
  Shredded green cabbage 10 Cup (160 tbs)
  Celery seeds 1 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Salt 3 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Boiling water 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Cooked bacon slice 5 (Crispy)
  Bacon fat 4 Tablespoon
  Lemon juice 1 Tablespoon
Directions

Combine cabbage, celery seeds, 3 teasp of the salt, and water in a saucepan, and cook, covered, until tender—8-15 min Drain.
Then add the remaining 1/2 teasp salt, the bacon, crumbled, the bacon fat, and the lemon juice.
Toss, heat and serve.
