Cabbage and Potato Stir Pry
|Potatoes||3 Medium, peeled and cut into 1/2 inch cubes to make 3 cups|
|Cold water||2 Tablespoon|
|Teriyaki sauce||2 Tablespoon|
|Snipped parsley||1 Tablespoon|
|Cooking oil||1 Tablespoon|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), minced|
|Cabbage head||1⁄2 Small, shredded to make 4 cups|
|Onion||1 Small, chopped to make 1/4 cup|
Cook potatoes, covered, in boiling salted water for 4 minutes; drain.
For sauce, stir together water, teriyaki sauce, parsley, and cornstarch.
Preheat a wok or large skillet over high heat; add cooking oil.
(Add more oil as necessary during cooking.) Stir-fry garlic in hot oil for 15 seconds.
Add cabbage; stir-fry for 1 minute.
Add onion; stir-fry for 1 minute.
Add potatoes; stir-fry about 2 minutes or till cabbage is crisp-tender.
Push vegetables from center of the wok or skillet.
Stir sauce; add to center of the wok or skillet.
Cook and stir till thickened and bubbly.
Cook and stir for 30 seconds more.
Stir in the vegetables to coat with sauce.
