Crazy Mixed Up Cabbage Bake

Ingredients
  Onion 1 Medium, chopped
  Lean ground beef 1 Pound
  Pork sausage 1⁄2 Pound
  Uncooked instant rice 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Dried marjoram leaves 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Dried basil leaves 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄8 Teaspoon
For tomato sauce
  Canned tomato sauce 15 Ounce (1 Can)
  Sugar 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Sauerkraut 32 Ounce, drained (1 Jar)
  Sliced cabbage 5 Cup (80 tbs) (1/4 Inch Thick)
Directions

Place onion in 1 1/2-quart casserole.
Cover.
Microwave at High for 3 to 4 minutes, or until tender.
Crumble beef and sausage over onion.
Re-cover.
Microwave at High for 6 to 7 minutes, or until meat is no longer pink, stirring once to break apart.
Drain.
Stir in rice, marjoram, basil, salt and pepper.
Set aside.
In small mixing bowl, blend all Tomato Sauce ingredients.
Set aside.
In 10-inch square casserole, layer half of sauerkraut, half of cabbage, half of meat mixture and half of tomato sauce.
Repeat once.
Cover.
Microwave at High for 5 minutes.
Reduce power to 70% (Medium High).
Microwave for 20 to 30 minutes, or until cabbage is tender, rotating casserole once.
Let stand, covered, for 5 minutes.
