Braised Red Cabbage

|Red cabbage head||2 Pound, cored and thinly sliced (1 Head)|
|Apple||1 , cored and chopped|
|Red wine vinegar||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Water||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Cloves||4 , stuck in 1/2 onion|
|Onion||1⁄2 (Stuck With Cloves)|
|Freshly ground black pepper||To Taste|
Preheat oven to 325°.
Combine all ingredients and bake covered 2 hours, stirring occasionally and adding more water if necessary.
Remove onion and bay leaf before serving.
