Ingredients
  Red cabbage 1 1⁄4 Pound, sliced (625g)
  Pickling onions/Shallots 6 Ounce, cut in half (175g)
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), chopped (large clove)
  Eating apples 12 Ounce, cored and sliced (375g)
  Dill seeds 1 Teaspoon (5ml)
  Cloves 2
  Sultanas 1 Ounce (25g)
  Cider vinegar 3 Fluid Ounce (75ml)
  Water 3 Fluid Ounce (75ml)
  Concentrated apple juice 15 Milliliter (1 tbsp)
Directions

1. Layer the cabbage, onion, garlic, apple, dill seeds, cloves and sultanas in a large casserole.
2. Mix together the cider vinegar, water and concentrated apple juice. Pour over the vegetables. Cover the casserole.
3. Bake in a preheated oven at Gas Mark 4,350°F, 180°C for 1 1/4 hours. Serve hot or cold.
