Red Cabbage N Apples
red cabbage and apples is a fruited vegetable recipe. Prepared in a saucepan with shredded red cabbage, it is cooked in margerine with caraway seeds along with the apples and cabbage. Seasoned and simmered till done, the red cabbage and apples makes a great side for meals.
|Margarine/Butter||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Lemon juice concentrate||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Firmly packed light brown sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Water||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Caraway seeds||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Shredded red cabbage||4 Cup (64 tbs)|
|Apple||2 Medium, cored and coarsely chopped (All Purpose)|
In large saucepan, melt margarine; stir in sugar, water, caraway and salt.
Add cabbage and apples; bring to a boil.
Reduce heat; cover and simmer 25 to 30 minutes.
