|Salt and pepper||1|
|Onion||1 Large, minced|
Melt the fat.
Place the ham in the fat and let it fry until brown.
Add the minced onion and stir well for 5 minutes.
Wash the cabbage and cut it in thin slices.
Put in the pot with the ham and add 1/2 cup cold water.
Salt and pepper to taste.
Cover and let cook 20 minutes.
