|All purpose flour||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1 Teaspoon|
|Firmly packed light brown sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Butter||4 Tablespoon, melted|
|Egg||1 , beaten|
|Cornflakes||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
Sift flour, baking powder and salt into a large bowl.
Stir in brown sugar, melted butter or margarine, egg and vanilla until well blended.
Stir in 1 1/2 cups of the cornflakes.
Spread in a greased baking pan, 8x8x2.
Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup cornflakes over top; press in firmly.
Bake in moderate oven (350Â°) for 30 minutes, or until firm on top.
Cool completely in pan on a wire rack.
Cut in quarters lengthwise, then crosswise.
