Mother S Butterscotch Cookies
|Butter||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Brown sugar||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Baking soda||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Pecans/Hickory nuts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped|
|Flour||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
|Baking powder||2 Teaspoon|
Cream butter and sugar.
Add unbeaten eggs and stir.
Add vanilla and sifted dry ingredients and nuts.
Knead into a roll and let stand in the refrigerator several hours or overnight.
Cut in very thin slices and bake about 15 minutes or less in a 375° oven.
