|Buttermilk/Soured milk||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Gold medal flour||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1 Teaspoon|
|Sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
Mix shortening, 1 cup sugar, and egg thoroughly.
Stir in buttermilk and vanilla.
Measure flour by dipping method or by sifting.
Blend dry ingredients into shortening mixture.
Chill dough 1 hr.
Heat oven to 400°
Drop by tablespoon-fuls on greased baking sheet.
Flatten with bottom of greased glass dipped in mixture of 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon.
Bake 8 to 10 min.
