Turkey Burgers With Cranberry Glaze
|Ground turkey||1 Pound|
|Worcestershire sauce||1 Tablespoon|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), minced|
|Black pepper||1 Tablespoon|
|Jellied cranberry sauce||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), canned|
|Lemon juice||1 Tablespoon|
|Whole wheat hamburger buns||4 , split|
|Romaine lettuce leaves||4|
|Finely chopped walnuts||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Non fat cooking spray||1 Tablespoon|
Lightly coat the grill with cooking spray and preheat for 5 minutes.
Combine the turkey, egg white, Worcestershire sauce, garlic and pepper and shape into 4 burgers.
Combine the cranberry sauce and lemon juice in a small saucepan and heat until it is smooth.
Place the turkey patties in the grill and smooth 1 tablespoon of the glaze over each.
Grill for 4 minutes.
Open the grill and spoon sauce over each patty again.
Grill 3-4 minutes.
To serve, place the buns on individual plates.
Put one lettuce leaf on one half of the bun, place the turkey burger over that, spoon additional sauce over the patty and sprinkle chopped walnuts over all.
