|Cucumber||1 Medium, seeded and finely chopped|
|Plain yogurt||8 Ounce (1 Cup)|
|Sesame seed||1 Tablespoon, toasted|
|Chopped onion||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), minced|
|Dried oregano||1 Teaspoon, crushed|
|Dried basil||1⁄2 Teaspoon, crushed|
|Dried rosemary||1⁄4 Teaspoon, crushed|
|Ground beef/Ground lamb||1 1⁄2 Pound|
Combine lettuce, cucumber, yogurt, and sesame seed; set aside.
Combine onion, garlic, salt, oregano, basil, and rosemary.
Add ground beef or ground lamb; mix well.
Shape into 6 thin patties, each 5 inches in diameter.
Grill over medium coals till desired doneness, turning once (allow 10 to 12 minutes total time for medium).
Or, broil 3 inches from heat till desired doneness, turning once (allow 8 to 10 minutes total time for medium).
Split each bread round to make a pocket; place a cooked meat patty inside.
Spoon in some lettuce mixture.
