Black beans very high in fiber, folate, protein, and antioxidants, along with numerous other vitamins and minerals. Black beans make a complete protein when paired with brown rice, which is often why they are so commonly included in a vegetarian diet.
Boiled black beans | 2 Cup (32 tbs) , cooked with salt | |
Corn | 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) (or use other veggie if desired) | |
Almond meal | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
Flax meal | 3 Tablespoon | |
Minced garlic | 1 Tablespoon | |
Chili paste | 1/2 Tablespoon | |
Oil | 2 Tablespoon (as needed) |
MAKING
1. In food processor, add black beans, almond meal, flax meal, minced garlic, chilli paste, and corn. Blitz until coarsely ground.
2. Roll mixture to patty and cook on griddle with little oil for 1-2 minutes each side.
SERVING
3. Serve on top of bread with your favourite topping and enjoy!
TIPS
If you do not have flax or almond meal, use any binding agent like thick yogurt, sour cream, egg etc.
