Cedar Planked Meatloaf Burger (Sandwich)

A really easy and different way to cook this All American Classic! Meatloaf, formed into patties and then grilled on a cedar plank!

Ingredients

For meatloaf mix
White onion 1 Small , mince
Garlic 3 Clove (15 gm) , mince
Kosher salt 1 1/2 Teaspoon
Worcestershire sauce 1 Tablespoon
Black pepper To Taste
Ketchup 2/3 Cup (10.67 tbs)
Canned diced tomatoes 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) (((seasoned with basil, garlic, oregano)))
Breakfast sausage 12 Ounce
Ground hamburger 1 1/4 Pound
Eggs 2 Large , scrambled
Italian breadcrumbs 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Parsley 1/3 Cup (5.33 tbs) , finely chopped
For sandwich
Ciabatta bread 3 , cut into half

Directions

GETTING READY

1. In a large mixing bowl, combine white onion, garlic, salt, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, tomatoes, sausage, hamburger, eggs, breadcrumb, and parsley. Mix well.

2. Pop it in refrigerator for an hour.

3. Roll mixture into patties, bigger or smaller depending on the size of your plank.

4. Place them on parchment paper.

5. Soak plank in water for about 2 hours.

6. Place plank smooth side down on grill. Preheat it on both sides.

MAKING

7. Place patties on plank, cover it with lid and cook for 20 minutes or until temperature reaches 165 degree.

8. Open grill, and baste it with ketchup.

9. Remove patties from plank, flip and place them on grill.

10. Baste with ketchup on the other side. Flip and repeat. Remove patties from grill.

11. For sandwich, toast ciabatta bread on grill.

12. Place meatloaf patties on bread slice, cover it with the other half.

SERVING

13. Serve meatloaf burger hot with sauce.
