Mediterranean Lamb Burgers
|Lean ground lamb||1 Pound|
|Black pepper||1⁄2 Teaspoon, coarsely ground|
|Dried rosemary||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Purple onions||2 Tablespoon, chopped|
|Lemon juice||1 Tablespoon|
|Prepared mustard||1 Tablespoon|
|Nonfat cooking spray||1|
|Pitas/Hamburger buns, if desired||4 (Soft)|
|Sliced purple onions||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Sliced cucumber||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Sliced tomatoes||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
1 Coat the grill with cooking spray and preheat for 5 minutes.
2 In a bowl, add the lamb, pepper, rosemary, salt, onion, juice and mustard.
3 Mix throughly and shape into 4 patties.
4 Place on the grill and cook for 6-7 minutes or until completely cooked.
5 Serve in the pita pockets along with the onions, lettuce, cucumber and tomatoes as condiments.
