Burger Chili And Chips
|Ground beef||1 Pound|
|Chopped onion||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Diced celery||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Canned chili con carne with beans||1 Pound (1 Can Or 2 Cups)|
|Corn chips||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Diced process american cheese||1⁄2 Pound (1 Cup)|
Add onion and celery and cook till tender but not brown.
Season with salt and pepper.
Add chili and mix.
Place layer of corn chips in greased 1 1/2-quart casserole.
Alternate layers of the chili mixture, corn chips, and diced cheese, ending with corn chips.
Bake in moderate oven (350°) 10 minutes, or till heated through.
Serve with chilled green salad, oven-hot baked apples, and tall glasses of cold milk.
