Turkey Burgers with Secret Sauce
|Ground turkey||1 Pound|
|Seasoned dried bread crumbs||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Parsley||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), chopped|
|Dijon mustard||1 Tablespoon|
|Ground black pepper||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Fat free mayonnaise||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Red onion||2 Tablespoon, chopped|
|Dill pickle relish||1 Tablespoon|
|Dijon mustard||1 Teaspoon|
|Pepper sauce||1 Teaspoon|
|Whole wheat bread slices||8 , toasted|
|Green leaf lettuce||2|
|Tomato||1 , sliced|
To make the burgers: Preheat the broiler.
Coat a broiler-pan rack with cooking spray.
In a large bowl, combine the turkey, bread crumbs, parsley, mustard, salt, and pepper.
Shape the mixture into 4 burgers.
Place the burgers on the prepared rack.
Broil 4" to 6" from the heat for 10 minutes, turning once, or until a thermometer inserted in the thickest portion registers 165°F and the juices run clear.
To make the sauce: Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, onion, relish, mustard, and hot-pepper sauce.
