Beef Barley Burgers
|Beef broth||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Barley||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Shredded zucchini||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Lean ground beef||1 Pound|
|Green onion||1 , chopped|
|Seasoned bread crumbs||1 Tablespoon|
|Worcestershire sauce||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Savory seasoning meat blend||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Vegetable oil||1 Teaspoon|
|Whole wheat buns||4|
|Alfalfa sprouts/Bean sprouts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Tomato||1 Medium, sliced|
Cook broth and barley in small saucepan over medium heat until tender.
Remove from heat and let stand 5 minutes.
Combine remaining ingredients, except oil, buns and toppings; stir until well mixed.
Form into 4 thick patties.
Heat oil in large frying pan over medium high heat.
Add patties and fry 4 to 5 minutes on each side.
