Beef And Bacon Burgers
|Bacon slices||4 , cut in half|
|Ground beef||1 Pound|
|Dry bread crumbs||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Onion||1 Small, finely chopped to make about 1/4 cup|
|Green bell pepper||1⁄2 Small, finely chopped to make about 1/4 cup|
|Hamburger buns||4 , split and toasted|
1. Place bacon on rack in dish. Cover with paper towel and microwave on high 3 to 4 minutes or until almost crisp; drain and reserve. Drain fat from dish.
2. Mix remaining ingredients except hamburger buns. Shape mixture into 4 patties, each about 3/4 inch thick. Arrange in circle on rack in dish. Crisscross 2 half-slices bacon on each patty.
3. Cover with paper towel and microwave on high 7 to 9 minutes, rotating dish 1/2 turn after 3 minutes, until beef is medium done-ness (160° on meat thermometer). Let stand covered 3 minutes. Serve in hamburger buns.
