Chili Burgers

Ingredients
  Ground turkey/Lean beef 1 1⁄2 Pound
  Quick cooking oats 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs), uncooked
  Chopped onions 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Tomato ketchup/Tomato sauce 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Chopped canned green chilies 2 Tablespoon
  Egg/1/4 cup prepared egg substitute 1
  Dried cilantro 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Ground cumin 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Black pepper To Taste
  Hamburger buns 6 , toasted
Directions

Mix together all the burger ingredients and form the meat into 6 patties.
The recipe can be prepared ahead and refrigerated or frozen until needed.
If frozen, thaw in the refrigerator or, better yet, in a few minutes in a microwave oven on the defrost setting.
Broil or grill the patties 5 minutes per side for well-done turkey or medium-rare beef.
Cutting a patty is the only sure test that they are done to perfection.
