Surprise Beef Patties
|Ground beef||1 Pound|
|Cooked chopped spinach||1 Cup (16 tbs), drained|
|Dry breadcrumbs||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Garlic salt||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Onion||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), chopped|
|Tomato soup||1 Can (10 oz)|
|Water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Cook the bacon in a skillet until crisp, then remove and crumble.
Combine the beef, spinach, crumbs, garlic salt and pepper and shape into 4 oval patties.
Saute the onion in the drippings in the skillet, then remove with a slotted spoon and set aside.
Brown the patties in the drippings, then pour off the fat.
Add the soup, water, onion and bacon and cover.
Cook over low heat for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
