Olive Treasure Burgers
|Ground beef||1 Pound|
|Chopped ripe olives||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Shredded sharp process american cheese||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
On waxed paper, draw a 5-inch circle (use bowl or canister cover as guide).
Place a fourth of the meat (1/2 cup) in center and pat: gently to fill circle (or place waxed paper on top, too, and roll lightly with rolling pin).
Do not press hard.
Leaving a 1/2 inch margin for sealing, spoon about 1 tablespoon each of olives and cheese on half of patty.
Lift point of waxed paper at the back and fold meat over filling.
Press around margin to seal.
Brush patties with salad oil or melted margarine to keep from sticking to grill.
Broil over hot coals about 10 to 12 minutes, turning once.
Dash with salt and pepper.
