  Ground beef 3 Pound
  Onion 1 Large, grated
  Egg 1
  Canned applesauce 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Salt 2 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Hamburger buns 12 , split, toasted and buttered
  Chili topping 1 Tablespoon
  Salted nuts 1 Tablespoon (For Topping)
  Rarebit 2 Tablespoon (For Topping)
  Spaghetti 4 Ounce (For Topping)

1. Mix ground beef lightly with onion, egg, applesauce, and seasonings until well-blended; shape into 12 patties about 1 inch thick.
2. Grill 8 minutes on each side for medium, or over hot coals, or until meat is done as you like it.
3. Place each patty on half a roll; spoon a topping of your choice over; put together with remaining halves of rolls.
