Turkey-Salsa Burgers

Ingredients
  Ripe avocado 1 , pitted and chopped
  Prepared salsa 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), well drained (about 1/2 cup after draining, plus 3/4 cup more)
  Sour cream 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) (regular or non fat)
  Hot chili pepper 1 Small, seeded and minced
  Ground turkey breast/Ground chicken breast 1 Pound
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Freshly ground pepper 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Vegetable oil 2 Tablespoon
  Red onion slice 4 , sliced 1/4-inch thick
  Hamburger buns 4 , split and toasted on griddle (if desired)
Directions

To make the salsa, in small bowl, combine the avocado, 1/4 cup prepared salsa, sour cream, and chili pepper; mix thoroughly, cover, and refrigerate until ready to serve.
To make the burgers, in a medium bowl, combine the ground turkey or chicken breast with the drained salsa, salt, and pepper.
Divide multure and shape into four burgers, each 1/2- to - inch thick.
Preheat griddle on the appropriate setting for 5 minutes; lightly grease with vegetable oil.
Cook burgers and onion slices 9 to 12 minutes, or until, the meat is cooked through but still juicy and the onions are tender and brown.
Turn after half the cooking time.
If desired, place buns on griddle during last 3 minutes of burger cooking time to toast.
To serve, top burgers with salsa and place in toasted buns.
