|Hash brown potatoes||12 Ounce (1 Package, Loose Pack)|
|Chopped onion||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Chopped green pepper||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Melted butter||2 Tablespoon|
|Egg||1 , beaten|
|Chopped pimiento||2 Tablespoon|
|Salt||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Ground beef||1 1⁄2 Pound|
|Hamburger buns||8 , split, toasted, and buttered|
Chop potatoes slightly; sprinkle with salt.
In skillet combine potatoes, onion, green pepper, and butter.
Cover and cook till potatoes are tender, stirring occasionally.
Combine egg, pimiento, 1 1/2 teaspoons salt, and pepper; stir in potato mixture.
Add ground beef; mix well.
Shape meat mixture into 8 patties, about 1/2 inch thick.
Grill over medium-hot coals for 5 minutes.
Turn and grill 3 to 4 minutes more.
Serve patties on toasted buns; place green pepper ring atop burger, if desired
