  Soft whole wheat bread crumbs 68 Gram (11/4 Cup)
  Toasted wheat germ 48 Gram (1/2 Cup)
  Chopped walnuts 5 Tablespoon
  Sliced green onions 50 Gram (1/2 Cup)
  1% low fat cottage cheese 120 Milliliter (1/2 Cup, Small Curd)
  Chopped parsley 2 Tablespoon
  Dried basil 1 Teaspoon
  Dried oregano 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Paprika 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt To Taste
  Reduced fat jack cheese 2 Ounce (55 Gram, 4 Thin Slices)
  Whole wheat hamburger buns 4 , toasted
  Fat free thousand island dressing 60 Milliliter (1/4 Cup)

1. In a large bowl, beat egg and egg whites to blend. Stir in bread crumbs, wheat germ, walnuts, green onions, cottage cheese, parsley, basil, oregano, and paprika. Season to taste with salt.
2. On an oiled 12- by 15-inch (30- by 38-cm) baking sheet, shape mixture into 4 equal patties, each about 1/2 inch (1 cm) thick. Broil patties about 3 inches (8 cm) below heat, turning once, until deep golden on both sides (about 6 minutes). Top each patty with a slice of jack cheese and continue to broil just until cheese is melted.
