Grilled Basil Burgers

  Slightly beaten egg 1
  Chopped onion 2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)
  Grated parmesan cheese 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Basil 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), crushed
  Catsup 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Garlic 2 Clove (10 gm), minced
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Lean ground beef 1 Pound
  Ground raw turkey 1 Pound
  Hamburger buns 8 , split and toasted
  Lettuce leaves 8
  Tomato slices 8

1 In a large mixing bowl combine egg, onion, Parmesan cheese, basil, catsup, garlic, salt, and pepper. Add ground beef and turkey; mix well.
2 Shape meat mixture into eight 3/4 inch-thick patties. (If you want to tote the burgers, wrap patties individually in plastic wrap; pack the patties with ice in a cooler for up to 4 hours.)
3 Grill patties on rack of uncovered grill directly over medium coals for 15 to 18 minutes or until juices run clear, turning once. (Meat patties will appear pink when done because of catsup added to mixture.)
