Cheeseburger In A Bun
|Lean ground beef||1 Pound|
|Chopped green onion||1 Tablespoon|
|Cheese topping||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Hamburger buns||4 , split and toasted|
In a small bowl, combine beef, onion, salt, pepper, and catsup; mix well and shape into 4 equal patties.
Arrange in a single layer in a 9 inch baking dish.
Cover with wax paper.
Microwave on HIGH (100%) for 3 minutes.
Drain off juices and turn patties over.
Microwave, covered, on HIGH (100%) for 2 to 4 minutes or until done to your liking.
Transfer patties to paper towels to drain; let cool.
Prepare cheese topping.
Place each patty on a bun half; cover with about a fourth of the cheese topping and then the remaining bun half.
Tightly wrap each bun in plastic wrap and refrigerate until next day.
To reheat, unwrap bun and place in a paper towel.
Microwave on HIGH (100%) for about 45 seconds each (2 1/2 to 3 minutes total for all cheeseburgers) or until meat is heated through and cheese is melted.
Makes 4 servings.
In a small bowl, combine 1 cup (4 oz.) shredded sharp Cheddar cheese, 2 tablespoons butter or margarine (softened), 1 1/2 teaspoons catsup, 1 teaspoon prepared mustard, and 1 tablespoon finely chopped green onion.
