Franks In A Bun

Ingredients
  Onion 1 Medium, chopped to make 1/2 cup
  Butter/Margarine 2 Tablespoon
  Tomato sauce 16 Ounce (2 Cans Of 8 Ounce Each)
  Molasses 1 Tablespoon
  Cider vinegar 1 Tablespoon
  Prepared mustard 1 Tablespoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Basil leaf 1⁄2 Teaspoon, crumbled
  Frankfurters 1 1⁄2 Pound (About 12 In Number)
  Frankfurter roll 12 , split, toasted and buttered
Directions

MAKING
1. In a large frying pan, saute onion in butter or margarine just until they turn soft.
2. Add in tomato sauce, molasses, vinegar, mustard, salt and basil; stir well. Simmer uncovered for 5 minutes.
3. Line the frankfurters in sauce. With a lid cover the pan and simmer 10 minutes, or until they are puffed and bubbly-hot.
4. Keep the frankfurters in rolls; spoon sauce over.

SERVING
5. Serve hot.
