Broiled Breakfast Buns
|English muffins||4 , split and lightly toasted|
|Margarine||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Soft)|
|Brown sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Sweetened rhubarb sauce||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs), drained|
|Orange peel||1 Teaspoon, grated|
|Pecans/Almonds||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), coarsely chopped|
Thickly spread muffin halves with butter.
Mix together margarine and sugar, creaming well.
Add vanilla, rhubarb, and orange peel, and blend.
Spread mixture on muffin halves and then sprinkle with nuts.
Broil under broiler until bubbling hot.
Makes 8 rich breakfast buns.
