Chelsea Butter Bun

Ingredients
  Self raising flour 12 Ounce
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Butter 1 1⁄2 Ounce
  Milk 1⁄2 Pint
  Butter 2 Ounce
  Light brown sugar 2 Ounce
  Sultanas 2 Ounce
  Currants 2 Ounce
  Chopped glace cherries 2 Ounce
  Mixed peel 2 Ounce
  Cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
  Water 1 1⁄2 Tablespoon (2 dessertspoons)
  Sugar 1 1⁄2 Tablespoon (2 dessertspoons)
  Gelatine 1 Teaspoon
Directions

Sift flour and salt into a basin, rub in butter lightly.
Mix to a firm dough with milk.
Roll dough into oblong shape,1/4 in. in thickness.
Filling Cream butter and brown sugar together.
Spread over dough; sprinkle with fruit and cinnamon.
Roll up lengthwise; cut roll into 14 thick slices.
Pack into a greased 8 in. sandwich tin, cut side down.
Bake in a moderate oven, Mark 4, 350°F., 25 to 30 minutes.
Brush bun with glaze, while still hot. Glaze
Place ingredients into a small bowl, stir over hot water until gelatine and sugar dissolve.
