Fudge Brownies

Ingredients
  Fudge sauce 1 Cup (16 tbs) (Adjust Quantity As Needed)
  Butter 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Unsweetened chocolate 1 1⁄2 Ounce (1.5 Squares)
  Eggs 2
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Sifted all purpose flour 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Baking powder 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Pecans 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs), coarsely chopped
Directions

Prepare Fudge Sauce; set aside.
Melt butter and chocolate together; set aside to cool.
Beat eggs and sugar until thick and piled softly; add cooled chocolate mixture and beat until blended.
Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt; add in halves to chocolate mixture, mixing until blended after each addition.
Turn half of batter into a greased 9x9x2-inch baking pan and spread evenly.
Pour half of Fudge Sauce evenly over batter; remove remaining sauce from heat but allow to stand over hot water.
Spread remaining batter evenly over sauce.
Bake at 350°F 35 to 40 minutes.
Set on wire rack 5 minutes; top with remaining sauce; sprinkle with pecans.
Broil 4 inches from source of heat 1 to 2 minutes, or until entire top is bubbly; do not allow sauce to burn.
Cool completely before cutting into squares.
