Nutty Butterscotch Brownies

Ingredients
  Butter 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Brown sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Egg 1
  Vanilla 1 Teaspoon
  All purpose flour 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Baking powder 1 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Nuts 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs), finley chopped
Directions

In a saucepan melt butter; stir in brown sugar, until sugar is dissolved.
Cool slightly.
Beat in vigorously, egg and vanilla.
Sift together the flour and baking powder.
Stir dry ingredients into butter mixture; add nuts.
Pour the batter into a greased 9 x 9 inch pan.
Bake at 350°F for 20 to 25 minutes.
Cool and cut.
