|Butter||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs), melted|
|Sugar||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Vanilla extract||1 Teaspoon|
|Unsweetened cocoa powder||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Baking powder||3⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Flour||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Nuts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped|
Butter a 9-inch square baking pan; set aside.
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large mixer bowl, combine melted butter or margarine and sugar.
Beat until blended.
Add vanilla, salt and eggs.
Add cocoa, baking powder and flour, mixing until smooth.
Stir in nuts.
Pour into prepared pan.
Bake 25 to 30 minutes.
Cool in pan before cutting.
