Chocolate Brownie Pie
|Sweetened condensed milk||14 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Semisweet chocolate pieces||6 Ounce|
|Vanilla extract||1 Teaspoon|
|All purpose flour||2 Tablespoon|
|Eggs||2 , separated|
|Coarsely chopped nuts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Pastry||1 (For 1-Crust 9-Inch Pie, Unbaked)|
|Vanilla ice cream||1 Pint|
Heat condensed milk and salt to boiling, stirring.
Remove from heat; beat in chocolate, vanilla, and flour.
Add egg yolks, one at a time, beating thoroughly after each addition.
Stir in nuts.
Beat egg whites until stiff but not dry.
Gradually beat in sugar, continuing to beat until very stiff and glossy.
Fold into chocolate mixture.
Pour into pie pan lined with pastry rolled 1/8 inch thick.
Bake in preheated moderate oven (350°F.) for 40 minutes, or until firm.
Serve with ice cream.
